Excellent level of safety

  • ESP optional: prevents under/oversteer by automatically applying the brakes to individual wheels when an imminent loss of steering control is detected.
  • Off-road ABS: reduces stopping distances significantly by allowing the wheels to lock momentarily and allow small wedges of material from the ground to build-up in front of tyres.
  • Hill Descent Control: automatically maintains brake pressure and controls speed when driving down steep descents ensuring a controlled and predictable descent.
  • Hill Start Assist: when pulling away up a steep incline this function maintains brake pressure for up to 2 seconds after the brake pedal has been released and before the acceleration has been activated, thereby preventing rollback and reducing clutch wear and tear.
  • Trailer stabilization: stabilizes a swaying trailer if the vehicle is fitted with the Volkswagen Genuine Accessories electrical kit.
