Performance
- The Amarok’s 2.0 litre TDI® Biturbo engine is one of the smartest, most efficient engines of our time.
- The two exhaust turbochargers result in impressive vehicle response at lower engine revs and an increased power output at higher revs.
- With 120 kW and 400 Nm, you can quickly leave the daily grind behind you.
- Also available in a 2.0 litre TDI four cylinder with a single variable-geometry turbocharger that delivers maximum power of 90kW and 340Nm of torque from 1 750 r/min.
Safety and comfort
- ESP optional: prevents under- and oversteer by automatically applying the brakes to individual wheels when an imminent loss of steering control is detected.
- Off-road ABS: reduces stopping distances significantly by allowing the wheels to lock momentarily and allow small wedges of material from the ground to build up in front of tyres.
- Hill Descent Control: automatically maintains brake pressure and controls speed when driving down steep descents ensuring a controlled and predictable descent.
- Hill Start Assist: when pulling away up a steep incline this function maintains brake pressure for up to two seconds after the brake pedal has been released and before the acceleration has been activated, thereby preventing rollback and reducing clutch wear and tear.
- Trailer stabilization: stabilizes a swaying trailer if the vehicle is fitted with the Volkswagen Genuine Accessories electrical kit.
