Design

A bit of good design goes a long way, and never before has this been truer than with the Crafter — from its disctinctive front grille featuring widely spaced horizontal lines that commands a serious road presence, to a step at its base that allows easier access to the engine and windscreen should they require maintenance.

With a load compartment height of between 1650mm in the Crafter 35, and up to 2140mm available in the Crafter 50 Super High Roof, you’ll find that there aren’t many things you’ll struggle to load into these versatile vehicles – especially considering their payload of 1,5 tons or 2,5 tons respectively. A wide side sliding door makes loading and unloading even easier. It’s all in a day’s work for the Crafter.

Inside the cabin, drivers and passengers will find an ergonomically refined dashboard and cab featuring a handy document holder, as well as overhead storage. All in the name of comfort and convenience – comfortable drivers are better drivers, which is of course good for business.

Range

With a powerful new design the Crafter offers more flexibility, more functionality and simply more space. The Crafter is available in two derivatives: the Crafter 35 and Crafter 50.

Performance

• The Crafter features a choice of two powerful TDI engines: Common rail diesel engine technology keeps fuel consumption surprisingly low, ensuring that it is economical too.
• The 80kW engine, delivers 280Nm of torque at 2000rpm,
• The 120kW engine delivers 350Nm of torque at 2000rpm.

Economy

The engine adapts to the demands being placed on it by the driver, striking a continuously variable balance between fuel economy and performance. The Crafter’s engine uses variable geometry turbocharging, exhaust gas recirculation, a particle filter and a catalytic converter to help maintain the lowest possible emissions levels.
